Natural resource management

Depending on biophysical characteristics of an area, and the socioeconomic situation of a rancher, these could include combinations of: (a) improvements in the management of native forests that have not been cleared;(b) development and implementation of agroforestry and/or agro-silvo-pastoral production systems that complement and incorporate livestock management; and (c) the development of market options, such as conservation beef, that encourage more forest- and biodiversity-friendly ranching.
